Beowulf Sheehan Photography from 2019 Festival

January 8, 2020 by Tim Ehrenberg

Raised in South Florida and abroad, Beowulf Sheehan studied photography at New York University and the International Center of Photography. His childhood love of stories in books and music grew into an adulthood love of storytellers in the arts, entertainment, and humanities. Beowulf makes portraits, communicates ideas, and shares the stories of unique and compelling artists and figures who impact society and culture.

We were thrilled to welcome Beowulf to the 2019 Festival this past June, and even more elated when he offered to photograph some of our 2019 presenting authors. These photos around Nantucket of authors such as Esi Edugyan, Elliot Ackerman, Lea Carpenter, Madeline Miller, Rebecca Makkai, Rowan Ricardo Phillips, John Burnham Schwartz, Kirk Wallace Johnson, Alex Marzano-Lesnevich, and Ben Fountain are such a great representation of our 8th annual event.

Thanks for the memories, Beowulf.
