Chris Vineis joined the Book Festival Committee in 2017 and serves as Development Chair, drawing on experience in philanthropy and fundraising. Attracted to the Festival’s range of free, literary introductions to some of the world’s most outstanding authors, she is committed to the spirit and work of the NBF and delighted to be a part. High school summer jobs at LOOK and Family Circle magazines provided an intriguing, early glimpse into the world of photo journalism, which has fascinated her ever since.

Living in Columbus Ohio and on Nantucket, she and her family fell in love with the island 35 years ago and never stopped returning. Today, she happily spends time in both places while Washington, DC is a close third-favorite location for Chris. Her lifelong career centered on federal government relations serving national clients through her own firm, Capital Partnerships, in DC. In particular, federal infrastructure policy has been her lifelong passion and she is the founder of the 57 chapter, international Women’s Transportation Seminar. On Nantucket, she serves on several boards and committees while volunteering at the elementary school.
