Pam Belluck Picture

Pam Belluck has been a staff writer for The New York Times since 1995, writing about topics as varied as floating islands, Alzheimer's disease, cattle rustling, and the effect of music on the brain. For over a decade she was a national correspondent, leading the paper's Midwest and New England bureaus. She joined the science and health staff of The Times in 2009. Her August 2007 New York Times profile of Dr. Timothy Lepore developed into the newly published book, Island Practice, about Dr. Lepore and Nantucket's year-round community. Pam's work was selected for The Best American Sports Writing 2005 and The Best American Science Writing 2010.
