Robert Cameron & his wife owned a summer home on Nantucket for over two decades. Early in Robert's career, he was a ship's captain traveling the world, with the opportunity of seeing whales in New Zealand, Japan, South Africa, and California Coast. None were as spectacular as the ones in the Nantucket waters, especially Tuckey, Nantucket's friendly whale upon which this children's book series is based.
