Lisa Genova graduated valedictorian from Bates College with a degree in Biopsychology and has a Ph.D. in Neuroscience from Harvard University. Her first novel, Still Alice–about a 50 year old woman”s sudden descent into early-onset Alzheimer’s Disease–was originally self-published. It spent 40 weeks on The New York Times bestseller list and has appeared in 25 languages. Her second novel, Left Neglected, came out in 2011. Lisa travels worldwide, speaking on the causes, treatments, and prevention of Alzheimer’s, and what it feels like to live with the disease. Her third novel, Love Anthony, about autism, appeared in 2013. She lives with her husband, documentary filmmaker Christopher Seufert, and their children on Cape Cod.
