Rebecca Pacheco is an acclaimed yoga teacher, author, speaker, and creator of the popular yoga blog OmGal.com. Her first book Do Your Om Thing: Bending Yoga Tradition to Fit Your Modern Life was published by HarperCollins in March 2015. With its warm, personal, and often hilarious prose, Do Your Om Thing translates yoga tradition for twenty-first-century practitioners, making ancient principles and philosophy feel accessible, relatable, and genuinely rooted in the world in which we live today.
Described by best-selling author and mindfulness pioneer Jon Kabat-Zinn as “a fresh new voice on the yoga scene, reminding us of what balance, flexibility, strength, humor, and yes, integrity and wisdom, are all about,” Rebecca possesses a broad and authentic appeal spanning the communities of yoga, meditation, health, sports, spirituality, writing, and more. Her students and fans include yogis of all walks of life: from curious neophytes to seasoned veterans, Olympic swimmers and NBA players to ballerinas, sports psychologists to stressed out CEOs, card carrying bibliophiles to fitness junkies who want to feel lighter and brighter from the inside out.
In addition to teaching internationally, Rebecca has had the honor of leading the first-ever yoga class on the field at Fenway Park. She is also a longtime runner and Boston Marathon finisher, as well as the resident yoga expert for Runner’s World. She lives in Boston with her fiancé, Dan Fitzgerald.
