Katrina Kenison

Katrina Kenison, a graduate of Smith College, worked for many years in publishing, first as a literary editor for Houghton Mifflin and then, from 1990 to 2006, as the series editor of The Best American Short Stories, published annually by Houghton Mifflin Harcourt. With Kathleen Hirsch, she co-edited the short story anthology Mothers: Twenty Stories of Contemporary Motherhood. She is the author of Mitten Strings for God: Reflections for Mothers in a Hurry, The Gift of an Ordinary Day: A Mother’s Memoir, and Magical Journey: An Apprenticeship in Contentment. With Rolf Gates, she is the author of Meditations from the Mat: Daily Reflections on the Path of Yoga. A Reiki practitioner, gardener, and yoga teacher, Kenison lives with her family in rural New Hampshire.
