Nathaniel Philbrick (he/him/his) moved to Nantucket in 1986. He is the author of the New York Times bestsellers In the Heart of the Sea (National Book Award); Mayflower (Pulitzer Prize finalist); Bunker Hill (New England Book Award); Valiant Ambition (2017 George Washington Book Prize); In the Hurricane's Eye; and most recently, Travels with George. Nat's memoir, Second Wind: A Sunfish Sailor, An Island, and the Voyage that Brought a Family Together was reissued in March 2018. His writing has appeared in Vanity Fair, Smithsonian magazine, the New York Times Book Review, the Wall Street Journal, the Los Angeles Times, and the Boston Globe. He has appeared on the Today Show, the Morning Show, Dateline, PBS s American Experience, C-SPAN, and NPR.
