Steven Axelrod

About

Steven Axelrod holds an MFA in writing from Vermont College of the Fine Arts and remains a member of the WGA despite a long absence from Hollywood. His work has been featured on various websites, including the now-shuttered literary e-zine Numéro Cinq, where he was a long-time Masthead contributor. His work has also appeared at Salon.com, The GoodMenProject, and The Atticus Books Blog as well various magazines with ‘pulp’ in the title, including PulpModern and BigPulp. His Hollywood fiction is featured on Nikki Finke’s Hollywood Dementia website, and his dark noir thriller Heat of the Moment came out from Gutter Books in 2015. Steven also writes the Henry Kennis mysteries for Poisoned Pen Press. Number five in the series, Nantucket Counterfeit, was published in 2018. Number six, Nantucket Penny, will be coming out in the spring of 2020. The URL of Steven’s blog, named after his father George Axelrod’s novel, is whereaminowwhenineedme.blogspot.com. A father of two, Steven lives on Nantucket Island, Massachusetts, where he paints houses and writes, often at the same time, much to the annoyance of his customers.
